Definition

Electronic Invoicing. (Also e-Invoicing) It is the exchange of the invoice document between a vendor, a buyer, or a financial institution wholly in an integrated digital format or dataset.

Traditionally, invoicing, like any heavily paper-based process, is manually intensive. Manual invoices are subject to human errors resulting in increased costs and processing life cycles for the organizations.
