Initial Coin Offering. (ICO) It is similar to an initial public offering in that it is used to raise capital for organizations in the blockchain domain.

If the organization offers a Blockchain service that has a native Cryptocurrency, it can raise capital by selling this cryptocurrency, where investors hope that the coin will gain value as the service increases in popularity.
