Occupational Hazard is Hazard experienced in the context of an Occupation (e.g., taking place in the context of a workplace]].
Taxonomy
Occupational hazards encompass many sub-types
- chemical hazards
- biological hazards (biohazards)
- psychosocial hazards, and
- physical hazards
- ergonomic hazards
- workplace accidents
Mitigation
The Risk Management activity (including Risk Mitigation) of occupational risk usually goes under the name Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).
